John Thompson

John Thompson has a broad corporate finance and merchant banking background. He has served on the Board of Directors for a number of private and public companies including Industrial Holdings Inc., Collins and Ware Inc., Black Warrior Wireline Inc., Belleli Energy Srl., Med Center Bank, Compressor Dynamics Inc., Manifold Valve Inc., Trans American Waste, Multi Shot Inc., and BWWC Directional Drilling Inc.

John worked for and managed two merchant banking funds that focused primarily on turnaround opportunities in the energy sector. (The St. James Companies) John also held executive leadership positions with a variety of portfolio companies in the energy, healthcare and bio tech sectors. Total revenues for the portfolio companies exceeded $2 billion, combined with above average returns for the investors.

From the early 90s John was Managing Director, Corporate Finance for Harris, Webb, and Garrison Inc. He has a BS in Economics from Emory University, London School of Economics and Queens College, Oxford University.
