John R. Feltham, founder and Member of the Board of Directors at Zebec Data Systems, Inc., has over 30 years experience in designing, implementing, and managing large complex data processing environments. John began his formal career in the US Air Force as a senior research analyst with the School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base. John’s primary area of responsibility was working on the physiological stress program pertaining to space flight in the initial space program up to the early Apollo flights.

Upon leaving the Military in 1972, John assisted in building his first data processing service bureau as General Manager. John was recognized as a notable talent in converting antiquated batch processing environments of the 60’s and 70’s to on-line real time networked information systems.

As the Director of Systems, for the five star St. Anthony’s Hotel in San Antonio, TX, John led the effort in automating the nation’s first fully automated hotel. His next challenge, as the National MIS Director for Stewart Title Company, was to convert the company from older IBM platforms to a more productive nationwide on-line environment, utilizing Digital Equipment Corporation hardware. This task was performed in half the allotted time, and considerably under budget.

John founded Zebec in 1978 after recognizing a need in the business community for data processing services offered on-line for companies of all sizes. Companies soon recognized that without the requirement for large investments in hardware, software and MIS staff they were able to divert capital and resources to more productive areas.

Since 1983, Zebec has focused on the healthcare industry in the areas of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care. Zebec has hundreds of Hospitals, Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), etc., as clients on line nationwide.

Zebec has consistently grown to become one of the nation’s largest commercial outsourcing companies providing services to a diverse range of industry, worldwide.
